By David Yee @ Legit Reviews
Color me surprised when I found out that the Logitech G5 design, in use since that mouse first appeared in 2005 and based off the also legendary MX518, was being replaced by the ergonomic shape being used for the G602. The wild success of the G5 and the various G500 updates have perhaps culminated to be amongst the top, if not the defacto favorite gaming mice for nearly a decade. Logitech hasn’t extinguished the original MX518 shape as it continues on as the G400s today.

Several months ago, we had a quick look at the BlackWidow Ultimate from Razer, a company very well known for their focus on gaming-related products. A few weeks ago, Razer announced that they have developed their own all-new mechanical switches, upgrading most of their keyboards with them in the process. The upgrade involves the BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard, and we have the new "2014" version that we'll be reviewing today. Razer has made plenty of noise about their new switches, and while we'll have more to say on that in a moment, let's start as usual with a look at the packaging and included items.

Review: Corsair Raptor K40 Gaming Keyboard

By Stuart Davidson @ Hardware Heaven
There is no doubt that mechanical keyboards have taken a significant market share in recent times as all of the major manufacturers moved away from membrane style units in the high end. There are exceptions to that though, such as the Razer DeathStalker, but that sort of product, like the mechanical alternatives has a price premium.
Today's product takes the rubber/membrane approach for keys and prices it at a competitive $70/Ł55 with a number of gamer and media features built in. Enter the Corsair Raptor K40...

Today we're looking at the latest iterations of these Mionix flagship mice, the Naos 7000 and Avior 7000. Despite the difference in DPI, the other major difference is these two new products utilize optical sensors rather than laser internals. This has several pros and cons, which we'll discuss in more detail, but the overarching point to realize here is you get nearly the same mice for less money. We're certainly fans of getting good value, so let's take a closer look at the Mionix Naos 7000 and Avior 7000 and find out if they're worth your money.

SteelSeries have long been established as one of the major players for enthusiast gaming peripherals. When we reviewed their Sensei mouse a while back we found it to be one of the best gaming mice around and they had huge success with their World of Warcraft devices, the first edition selling so well that manufacturing couldn't keep up. Recently they have been expanding into other areas such as controllers for tablets however their PC (and Mac) peripherals have also seen some new additions. Today we take a look at a new mouse in the SteelSeries range, the Rival. This mouse features a new body shape, taking us away from the design used on the likes of Sensei and Kana. Review: Corsair Vengeance K95 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

By David Yee @ Legit Reviews
Last year, Corsair released the Vengeance K90 as one of two new keyboards. It was a big gamble for Corsair entering the crowded gaming peripheral market for the first time, electing to jump in with mechanical keyboards with the K90 being a very expensive keyboard. Mechanical keyboards were catching on back then and people of all sorts – gamers, typists, and computer enthusiasts – had their opinions regarding the Vengeance K90 keyboard. First there were those who scoffed at the idea of an expensive keyboard, the kind of person who would be blissful with a no frills membrane keyboard. Second, some felt cheated that the K90’s 18 macro keys were the only full-sized keys that weren’t mechanical, but in-fact membrane. Lastly, there were those who liked the K90 for what it was. For those unsatisfied with the older K90’s non-mechanical macro keys, the K95 is Corsair’s response to those criticisms.

Review: Mad Catz M.O.U.S.9 Wireless Mouse
Posted by Donster on: 2013-05-16 15:01:58 in category: Game Controller News [ Print ]

A nice looking, feature rich and wireless compact mouse is one of the things i always wanted to "marry" with my notebook but to date i haven't been able to find the ideal one. Microsoft and Logitech have released quite a few (some of which with good specifications) but none of those actually peaked my interest (nor caught my eye for that matter), at least not enough for me to actually pack one of them with my primary Toshiba Qosmio notebook. I did consider using the excellent wireless R.A.T.9 by Mad Catz a while ago but its size along with the external battery charging bay were a bit too much for use with a notebook. Well it seems that Mad Catz also thinks the same way as I and so they just launched the M.O.U.S.9 Wireless Bluetooth Mouse which looks a lot like the R.A.T.9 but takes less space, is more battery efficient and is much lighter.
