As something of a multi-monitor aficionado, I jumped at the opportunity to check out a new triple-display monitor stand from XFX. To date, my multi-monitor experiences have consisted of strictly business, home-brewed mounting schemes without much regard for aesthetics. What XFX brings to the table is a professional stand targeted at the Eyefinity panoramic gaming community. The extra screen real estate can certainly be enlisted for more productive uses, but the aggressive angular styling of the base gives a not-so-subtle clue as to the target market.

The VX2739WM continues to expand the sleek-looking, TN panel-based range of monitors that ViewSonic has been churning out for a while. The main selling points are a 1ms response time (the fastest we've ever seen claimed for a TFT) and also a large 27 inch 16:9 viewable screen, although the native resolution is only 1,920 x 1,080, unlike the Dell U2711 which, although it had an aspect ratio of 16:10, managed to cram a fabulous 2,560 x 1,440 panel into it's 27 inch diagonal area.

While 22” displays are simply too small and the quality hasn’t measured up to that of non-3D capable monitors, Acer and Alienware aim to change that. The TRIMON is the first commercial 3D monitor available to the public from Zalman, and it is not often one gets to be the first to review a finally finished product. We have been waiting for these ZM-M220W monitors to hit the shelves for a little over a year now, with the first introduction of them at CEBIT 2007.
There have been several pre-production reviews on the net, but this is the first of the finished product with the latest drivers (ForceWare 91.31 for XP) on the included CD. NVIDIA, who make the drivers for the product have finally got it together, and so we have been given a list of 100 games that support the 3D monitor in Windows Vista. Top PC Firms at Risk from Taiwan Monitor Maker Fire

A fire at Taiwan's Lite-On, the world's fifth largest desktop monitor producer, could disrupt supplies to the PC industry, with Dell, HP and Lenovo particularly at risk, an industry researcher said on Tuesday.
The fire at one of Lite-On's factories in China this month had caused initial damage of around T$2.266 billion ($71 million). The company said no one was hurt in the incident.

When I first say this monitor I thought to myself, "@#$#, this looks wicked cool!". There's no question that this display has impressive styling or at least I think it does. The design is very bold and sends a very strong first impression. With a silver/brushed aluminum perimeter and black center it will easily blend in with any computer and/or audio/video setup.

Dell 2707WFP: Looking for the Middle Ground of Large LCDs

There are definitely people that would like something slightly larger than a 24" LCD, but they don't want to deal with some of the aforementioned problems with 30" LCDs. These people basically have a few options. First, they could always look at some of the 1080p HDTV solutions, which are currently available in 32", 37", 42", and several larger sizes. If resolution isn't a concern, there are plenty of other HDTV solutions out there, but those are less than ideal for computer work. The other option, and the one we'll be looking at today, is to get something like Dell's 27" 2707WFP.
