Date: August 17, 2001 Article Type: Retrospective By: Various There's a yin yang balance to all things in nature and, oddly enough, in PC gaming. As the pace of new sim titles slowed, so too did the number of new bits of gaming hardware. Video card manufacturers used to abound but mergers and acquistions have whittled down the players in this space to a mere handful. Saitek, Thrustmaster, and CH products are still the combat sim controller kings but Suncom kinda dropped off the radar. Is this just a lull or a sign of things to come? Let's hope it's the former and not the latter. If there is a silver lining to this current hardware lull, perhaps it is the improved stability between games and hardware across the board.
