It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Jim "Twitch" Tittle on August 30, 2009. Jim died after a courageous 2-year battle against cancer. He was 61 years old.

Jim, who hailed from Calfornia, was one of Combatsim.com's most prolific contributors with over 100 published articles to his credit. Jim covered everything from space combat games to opinion pieces on the state of combat simulation gaming, but his forte was military history—specifically air combat aces and their planes.

Jim wrote numerous articles for our site about the legendary air combat aces of WWI, WWII, and the Korean War. His articles on the subject are singularly unique because Jim actually met and interviewed many of them including Adolf Galland, Johnnie Johnson, Gabby Gabreski and Asrenii Vorozheykin, to name just a few.
